Report on IRFF Europe executives meeting

25 representatives of 11 IRFF European chapters (Albania, Austria, Bosnia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Great Britain, Hungary, Luxembourg, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia), CARP and WFWP representatives from Slovenia gathered on the IRFF Europe executives meeting, held from 29
th June - 1st July, in a small city of Slovenia, Celje.

The purpose of the meeting, coordinated by IRFF International field Director Dr.Massimo Trombin, was to strengthen the cooperation among IRFF European chapters and with other NGOs, recollect ideas, grasp the vision and purpose of IRFF, plan for the rest of the year and year 2002, share and start some common projects.

Saturday meeting started with short introduction of the participants, their role and interest in IRFF work. Representatives of each IRFF chapter gave a report on their work and activities. A lot of brainstorming and team building was done. Massimo Trombin gave us good inside in vision and aim of IRFF, networking and fundraising. He very much stressed that IRFF is an organization whose greatest assets are people not money. People with ideas, vision and courage. IRFF exists as a reaction to problems, wars and poverty and being committed in working in IRFF is not a duty but working out through heart.

Sunday was intended for planning and up coming projects and also some new ideas for the projects arose. Common educational projects were started (book and research project), study groups formed and beginning preparations for the November IYV conference in Geneva, Switzerland, where also our next IRFF executives training seminar will take place, were done.
